sensitivity and subtlety

life is full of subtlety. if we are not open and aware, or listening, we miss all sorts of this subtle energy. it is a grand communication for those with ears. I suppose, we ought to develop ears.
And, I suppose, we ought get our SELVES out of the way.

Thanks for posting this. It's something I've been working on as a martial artist and in the rest of my life as well. I think the keys to developing sensitivity are: shutting the heck up - especially all the internal noise, and staying present in the moment so we can actually feel the experience of right now.

was just noticing the cues of my dog that a friend had missed. she has a dog that is much more demonstrative with her brows in expression.
I didn't notice my dog's, Ninja, till today.
her's are very quiet and subtle
then recalled an actor in a movie I just saw, A man from earth, who had very, very slight subtle movements of face.
i always enjoy these

but…social anxiety itself is a barrier to this.
so…
i suppose meditation while awake is also necessary
does this make sense?
