sensitivity and subtlety

Posted on Apr 2nd, 2008 by clyde : muse muser clyde

life is full of subtlety.  if we are not open and aware, or listening, we miss all sorts of this subtle energy.  it is a grand communication for those with ears.  I suppose, we ought to develop ears.

And, I suppose, we ought get our SELVES out of the way.

Thanks for posting this. It's something I've been working on as a martial artist and in the rest of my life as well. I think the keys to developing sensitivity are: shutting the heck up - especially all the internal noise, and staying present in the moment so we can actually feel the experience of right now.

Janet

was just noticing the cues of my dog that a friend had missed.  she has a dog that is much more demonstrative with her brows in expression.

I didn't notice my dog's, Ninja, till today.

her's are very quiet and subtle

then recalled an actor in a movie I just saw, A man from earth, who had very, very slight subtle movements of face.

i always enjoy these

their for those to read

but…social anxiety itself is a barrier to this.

so…

i suppose meditation while awake is also necessary

does this make sense?
