new age

the coming age and earth

trying to navigate my place in this beautiful interwoven tapestry has been a great joy.
as we travel into new inner worlds of outer space, it makes me think about the previous outer world manifestation of this phenomenon.
We traveled to the reaches of the physical universe by space ship, and through our imaginations through the help of physicists and astronomers and new technologies, in our continuing exploration of the outer terrain of reality. but...as life is lived here, began to return to our humble origins to deal with the very real and challenging realities of our planetary realm. it does call for our attention as do the souls still inhabiting earth.
And...I find a parallel in the experience of our outer exploratory history. Through greater and greater inner travel to the outer realms constructed through our imagination, returning to the inner travel of the inner realms of the very real and pressing simple needs of every day life. Exploration of the outer realms is important, but there is perhaps a center of gravity to all that.
New Age ideas fascinate me. And frankly, for better or worse, am married to this humble existence here, somewhere in limbo.
When Close Encounters of the Third Kind first aired, i was pretty young. I would have chosen to leave back then and climb aboard that new adventure. Today, I'm much more inclined to refuse, if offered, and remain behind and continue the adventure here.
Philosophically, I'm a bit of a turtle when it comes to my beliefs. I cautiously walk forward on the firmest ground I can find, for my footsteps may be the breadcrumbs for the future (if I am to love my children), and my footing most sure there. With the most solid footing. Not that there isn't firm footing in the stars and in the Kosmos. Just that I am not there, nor are the bulk of earth's inhabitants.
And with all the possible realms of exploration, we are left with a choice. A path. I do believe we are undertaking MANY paths, as many theories and possibilities DO exist simultaneously within one person. And I am open to all of them. But...I am most open to the firmest ground I stand on today, though this ground will undoubtably change tomorrow.

these are the BEST TIMES to be living in. Unlimited potential. Total creativity. The basic pc gives us all the tools we need to be digital masters. Unbelievable possibilites.

I agree with Wanderer7…these are incredible times! Just look…the 3 of us are communicating telepathically! =D

the firm footing is not lead. My belief is that the firmer the footing, the further the flight. Grounded in substance. I believe a solid architecture lends itself to the greatest utility or even the greatest freedom.
I generally fly by the seat of my pants by habit now. I'm still on firm ground. I think it has to do with a center of gravity between the two. Reaching and speculating, but moving forward on what is solid. And I DO find plent of solid and phenomenal stuff every day. I am taking my lessons as they come, digesting them, and moving forward. And…I am partaking in a pretty phenomenal experience. That's OK for me. It feels very much like flight.
I am VERY rational and emperical based. that should NOT be misunderstood however. As I move further and further from the conventional, I see many forms of former 'rationality' bent or even broken. And I see what is 'emperical' a little differently.
And there IS the danger of flying too high. But trust me. I have been invited to Alice's T party and graciously accepted. Actually setting up shop there.
I am in no way saying anyone here is wrong with the new age movement. I don't know this. But…I also do not know they are right. There's no real judgement, that's just the way it is.
I am very open to being wrong. My pride won't be hurt. But…on a pragmatic angle, I feel satisfied I am doing quite a bit of good living here, flying on the ground.
The actions I take don't affect just me, but all those around me. If the super natural or paranormal or psychic world is out there, I have no doubt I'll get there in time. But…to press and forge something from nothing out of a need to BE in that 'advanced' space, is just not my idea of how to go about things.
I truly believe my life IS magic in very simple terms. It's a miracle. What, in the end, is more phenomenal? What is the point? What IS the reason for being? A good life or walking on water?
Lastly, I am very concerned about how to help the masses who are not experiencing this 'new age' and just may want a nice meal or support in time of need. This MAY be simple minded, but perhaps there is something to be said for a simple mind.
Actually, I can relate, Clyde…
I DO test my footing and walk on solid ground, sinking my roots deep into Gaia, to anchor myself…this is necessary. Still feeling like “I'm in this world but not of it.” I also take “leaps of faith” whereby my wings have grown in mid-fall ;-)
…whatever mode of transportation gets you there! There are many paths leading to the same place, many trains stopping at the same station, many planes flying to the same destination =) “I don't care how you get here, just get here if you can.”

The superset 3D MODEL of Ken Wilber's Theory of Everything … by logical & rational definition … has to BE … ALL inclusive & NON exclusive, as a representational construct of THE ONE.
I've got that book. why is that not ringing a bell. more than likely cause I used “theory of everything” as an introduction to Wilber! Will have to suss that one out and will return briefly.
